June 2, 2025 Newsletters: Plant Now, Harvest in Q4

I’m not sure where Vegas set the line, but I did take my birthday off on Saturday (I only worked 2-3 hours). Didn’t get me anything? It’s not too late to follow Beeler Blazers on Instagram. I spent invested some money in jackets for Q4, and with your help, maybe a brand or two will want to start dressing me for free.

Q4 is on my mind, as it should be for anyone in our space. June is the ideal time to implement changes, allowing you to measure the impacts on Q4 fully. Do what you can now to sow what you will reap this fall. Hey, I’m not the one who made time linear – you think I wanted another birthday?

Speaking of crops, Paul Hood, our keynote speaker for Navigator London, made a great analogy in our prep call for next week’s event. If you are a farmer and you know the climate is going to change in your area, you’d think carefully about what crops you’re growing. Publishers need to start thinking the same way about the changing digital landscape.

We have a lot going on before the summer ends, but I am very excited about what we have planned for Q4 for you. Base•Camp Savannah will focus on resilience, publishers thinking like the digital brands they are, and engaging with our partners in ways other events don't. Base•Camp Lisbon will be the best publisher-focused event in Lisbon this fall. Digiday seems to follow us around Europe, but they can’t help prepare you for 2026 as well as we can.

Yes, 2026. Don’t forget your job is to help hit quarterly goals AND build for the future. Let’s get to work!

Pub.Pitch of Portal from FatTail

June 5, 1:00 ET - this week!

Virtual

Portal is the only solution in the market that automates the end-to-end creative management process for publishers. In addition to saving tons of time for creative chasing, Portal gives brands and agencies access to campaign reporting, invoicing and payment, and screenshots along with AI-powered product recommendations.

FatTail will share Portal with us. From there, Cox Automotive and American City Business Journals will talk through their use of Portal. There will be time for you to ask questions.

Navigator London is next week. This is it, folks.

You’ve been meaning to look at the agenda.

You’ve been thinking about registering.

You keep telling yourself you’ll come back to it when you have a minute.

Well… this is your minute.

Navigator London is next week on 10 June. This is the moment where the calendar either fills with the same old stuff. Or you choose the room where publishers, ad ops, and product leads are actually talking about what’s next and how to get there.

We're finalizing details now. Still a few surprises to come.

But this part? Locked in and ready:

  • Tripadvisor dives into how smart sales ops support the entire business
  • Telegraph Media Group and DoubleVerify take on product innovation and profitability
  • Carwow and EX.CO show what it takes to make video work harder
  • Reach plc comes in hot on buyer-side signal loss
  • Press Gazette and Beeler.Tech debate what’s ahead for publishers
  • Immediate Media and CoLab Media lead a long-overdue conversation on sustainability

The agenda is packed with the right conversations. The kind of conversations that untangle messy problems, challenge assumptions, and give you something real to take back to your team.

Last call. Raise your hand while you still can. Let’s do this.

Beeler•BASH is this week! Last call!

Every year, when the industry rolls NYC, we throw the one event that doesn’t care about job titles or talking points. No decks. No demos. No pitching. Just ad ops, ad tech, and publisher pros who’d rather have real conversations than sit through another panel.

And this year, we want you to bring your people… publisher, brand, and agency friends:

  • That teammate who always helps untangle the mess.
  • The partner who tells it to you straight when you need a helping hand.
  • The industry pal you vent to when everything feels just a little bit broken.

If they’re part of your circle, they’re welcome.

Beeler•BASH isn’t about credentials, it's about what matters most. Community.

So join us for one night, off the clock. No keynotes. No panels. No pressure.

Just good food, better conversations, and memorable shenanigans.

Here’s how to get in:

  1. First, tell us you want to attend. Yes, it’s free, but we need your name at the door. So, request an invite now.
  2. And if you want to attend the IAB Tech Lab summit earlier that day, you can save 25% with our code BeelerSummit at registration.

See you on June 4!

Somehow, it’s already June. The year’s moving fast, and so is everything else... budgets, roadmaps, decisions that can’t wait. There’s more to rethink, more to fix, and more riding on the choices you make.

That’s why we’ve lined up three events designed to help you get the right work done:

  • Base•Camp Savannah kicks off October 5. If you’ve been to Base•Camp, you know the deal: sleeves rolled up, honest takes, and a group of people ready to work through the challenges we face as an industry, not just rehash what’s broken.
  • Digital Day Camp returns to Toronto on October 22. One day. One room. Shared ground with Canada’s digital media leaders. Registration is open. If you’ve been looking for a place to cut the spin and get clarity, this is it.
  • Base•Camp Lisbon closes out the season November 2-5. We’re bringing the magic of Base•Camp to Europe. Bring your context, your open questions, and your willingness to collaborate.

If you see yourself in one of these rooms, tell us now. These events come together around the people in them. The sooner we know you’re coming, the better we can plan for the real conversations you want to have.
