Description

Senior Account Executive, Demand Partnerships About the job Encypher is looking for a Senior Account Executive, Demand Partnerships to build our demand-side sales motion and close business with brands and agencies that buy media, as well as AI companies building licensing, attribution, and provenance into their content workflows. This is our first dedicated seller on the demand side. You will work directly with our CEO and CCO to identify the right markets, build pipeline, create demand, and close the deals that establish a new category. We are especially interested in candidates from one of two backgrounds: ● Brand or agency buy side: Someone who has made or influenced the media, technology, partnership, or vendor decisions this role will sell into. ● AI lab or platform: Someone who has sold partnerships, licensing, data, or infrastructure within the AI ecosystem. Depth in one is required. Exposure to both is a major plus. What you'll do ● Own the demand-side sales process end to end, from sourcing and qualification through pricing, negotiation, and signature ● Build pipeline from scratch alongside a CEO and CCO who will actively work their networks with you ● Carry a quota across brands, agencies, and AI platforms ● Identify the companies and use cases most likely to create an immediate commercial need for verified provenance ● Turn Encypher's standards leadership and technical differentiation into commercial conversations and signed agreements ● Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across media, advertising, AI, legal, product, and partnerships The skills and experience you'll bring ● 5+ years in enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, or a brand or agency buy-side role with meaningful responsibility for budgets, vendors, procurement, or commercial decisions ● A record of closing or approving complex agreements involving meaningful budgets, procurement, and legal review ● The ability to teach a category while selling into it ● Enough technical fluency to explain cryptographic provenance to a CMO and general counsel ● Excellent written and verbal communication ● Strong commercial judgment and the ability to distinguish a valuable opportunity from an interesting conversation ● Comfort in a small, founder-led company where you will build your own list, create your own opportunities, and help develop the commercial playbook Nice to have ● Programmatic and ad-tech literacy, including how inventory is bought and how SSPs, DSPs, agencies, brands, and publishers fit together ● Content licensing or data licensing experience, from either side of the table ● Relationships with agency investment leadership, brand media teams, or AI platform partnerships teams ● Regulatory literacy, particularly around the EU AI Act, California AI transparency requirements, or related content disclosure frameworks ● Experience as an early commercial hire, before the playbook existed ● Experience selling infrastructure, data, verification, identity, measurement, or another product where trust is central to the value proposition Qualities of the ideal candidate ● High ownership: Treats the number and the market as theirs to build. Does not wait for someone to hand them a territory, list, or playbook. ● Intellectual honesty: Would rather lose a deal than overstate what our technology does today. Understan that we sell trust, so credibility matters. ● Sharp questions: Gets past the stated problem to the real constraint, including the budget cycle, internal politics, legal concern, or missing executive sponsor nobody initially mentions. ● Curiosity: Wants to understand how a new market develops and enjoys being early. ● Commercial creativity: Can find a path to a deal when the obvious path does not exist. About Encypher Encypher is building the independent verification layer for the content economy. We produce cryptographic proof of where digital content came from and make that proof verifiable wherever the content travels. Our technology supports content publishing, AI, advertising, licensing, and compliance workflows. Our founder and CEO, Erik Svilich, authored Section A.7 of the C2PA 2.3 specification, which defines provenance for unstructured text, and co-chairs the C2PA Text Provenance Task Force. C2PA 2.3 was published January 8, 2026. We are a small, founder-led team, and revenue is ahead of us rather than behind us. We are direct about that with every candidate. This is not a role where you will inherit a mature territory, a 200-page sales playbook, and a list of accounts waiting to be called. You will help build the market. We discuss compensation in the first conversation. For more, visit encypher.com or follow us on LinkedIn.
