Description

We are seeking a Director of Publisher Operations to support our efforts in managing live sports inventory as well as maximize performance and operational scale across FanServ's sports publisher portfolio. This role is central to ensuring our partners are fully enabled, integrated, and optimized across ad servers, SSPs, and programmatic demand at large. The right candidate will be focused on technical execution, data integrity, and partner satisfaction, while collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Ad Ops, Product, and Finance. At inception, this is an individual contributor role, however it is expected that this person would be adept at people management as the business grows. Key Responsibilities • •Lead publisher onboarding, setup, and ongoing operational management across CTV, mobile, and web environments • •Design and manage scalable processes for ad stack audits, ad quality monitoring, and performance optimization on behalf of the teams, RSNs, and other live sports inventory owners • •Own publisher revenue performance, using data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and proactively recommend improvements • •Serve as escalation point for troubleshooting ad delivery, latency, VAST/VPAID, and measurement issues, working closely with SSP, Ad Server, and Sports property contacts • •Standardize inventory signals (e.g., content, device, privacy, etc.) and manage their implementation and upkeep • •Work with Product as a stakeholder in developing reporting and insight frameworks for internal and external stakeholders, enabling transparency and decision-making • •Partner with Product & Engineering to shape tooling, integrations, and Stadium platform improvements that benefit operations and clients • •As live games often run nights and weekends, the chosen candidate will need to adjust their schedule to accommodate team launches, client app testing & updates, as well as troubleshooting in real-time after normal business hours Qualifications • •7+ years in digital media, with a strong focus on programmatic video and publisher-side operations • •Deep experience in CTV, live sports, and premium video environments. Work with vendors/solutions like Harmonic, MediaKind, Transmit, MediaTailor, Amagi, and other playout/SSAI solutions is highly desired. • •Hands-on experience with SSPs (e.g., Magnite, FreeWheel, PubMatic, etc), ad servers (e.g., FreeWheel, SpringServe, Publica, GAM, etc.), and measurement tools (e.g., DV, IAS, iSpot, etc.) • •Strong understanding of PMP/PG workflows, VAST, OpenRTB, and signal protocols like ads.txt, sellers.json, schain • •While this role is focused on the supply-side, experience with buy-side entities such as demand side platforms or agencies is a plus • •Proven leadership in managing teams, processes, and cross-functional initiatives • •Highly analytical with a knack for diagnosing issues and surfacing data-driven insights • •Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — you can translate between technical and strategic conversations with ease • •Familiarity with dashboards, yield reports, and troubleshooting logs Benefits & Perks • •401K • •Health insurance, Vision and Dental • •Sports related holidays • •Stipend for professional development • •Reimbursement for initial home office setup
