Weekly, my inbox learns just how many of you are taking a day/week/month/year off, and while both my inbox and I are jealous, this week and next we hope to get nothing BUT out-of-office messages. It would be a great way to end the year. If you have to work, I hope all your time is spent being strategic. I assure you that this industry needs your brains next year and not your fingers on keyboards.

We’re slowing down, but not entirely. There's too much going on the minute the new year starts:

  • Still looking to connect with people at CES (specifically about CTV, but also jackets).
  • AdTech Economic Forum London is a little over a month away. Check out our updates.
  • I just worked through a big portion of the agenda for Base•Camp Red Rock Canyon.

So yeah, we’re around - just making sure we hit the ground running.

This one is different and exciting! Amazing speakers, then pitches from six green-shoot adtech companies. You won’t want to miss it!

We are kicking off the day with four fireside chats. Our industry-leading speakers will take attendees through three investment stages before we hear from our adtech visionaries.

  1. Rémi Lemonnier will talk about angel investing in the new adtech world.
  2. Giovanni Strocchi from BlackSheep Fund will walk us through his investment criteria.
  3. Claire Houry from Ventech will share a different VC perspective from someone who started in banking and private equity buyouts.
  4. All investors seek an exit and outsized returns at some point. Sir Martin Sorrell will deliver a crash course on getting through an M&A deal. He's done more deals than anyone in advertising.
