This role will provide an opportunity to work on cutting-edge Ad Tech product technologies and impactful projects that are used by our clients. You will drive technical strategy, lead large-scale projects, and mentor engineers across the organization. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of highly complex software systems. You will also lead and manage a global team of developers and engineers.What You’ll Do:You will work across teams and domains to solve the most complex technical challenges, influence long-term technical decisions, and create scalable solutions that support the company’s growth. Your leadership and technical expertise will drive innovation in platform architecture, system design, and engineering practices for multiple categories of products on our proprietary platforms.You will develop infrastructure that powers advanced adtech solutions, driving innovation in areas such as real-time bidding (RTB), audience segmentation, and dynamic creative The Principal Engineer will be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing the technical strategy for backend infrastructure, identifying key innovations, technologies, and tools that will drive platform evolution.In this role, you will lead a team, driving the vision for its growth and success. This includes mentoring and guiding senior engineers and developers, while ensuring adherence to best practices in system architecture, code quality, and operational excellence. The Principal Engineer will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into a long-term technical roadmap that supports new product features and drives business growth. What We’re Looking For: ◦ A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 7 + years of experience as a Principal Engineer or a similar role collaborating across technical disciplines to solve complex technical challenges, particularly in areas like performance optimization, data consistency, and high availability. ◦ 3+ years managing and developing local and/or international teams. ◦ Adtech industry experience is strongly preferred. ◦ Experience with the following languages and platforms highly preferred - Node.js (Express.js), MongoDB, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GoLang, AWS. ◦ Ad Tech exposure with strong working knowledge of RTB along with Ad Servers, DSPs, SSPs. ◦ Proven ability to articulate and execute product vision, strategy, planning, and development. ◦ A systems thinker with a quick mind and humble confidence. ◦ Passionate about design and creative problem-solving with interest in the AdTech industry. ◦ Entrepreneurial drive with a demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment while building scalable solutions. ◦ Excellent written and oral communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.A strong collaborator with the ability to partner closely with internal teams. ◦ Add to our culture - Heartbeat 1st, then Algorithm.
